CounterCommunity rules
These Community Rules govern your use of the Counter mobile application ("the App"), operated by Julian David Münster, Mühlenkamp 18, 22303 Hamburg, Germany ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the App you agree to these rules. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Who can use Counter
You must be at least 16 years old to use Counter (verified at registration via date of birth). You may hold one personal account per person. Accounts created by bots, scripts, or automated methods are prohibited.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, fabricated, or manipulated evidence for a counter activity.
- Create or join counters promoting illegal activity, self-harm, eating disorders, dangerous dietary practices, or substance abuse.
- Harass, bully, threaten, or abuse others.
- Post hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or violent content.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.
- Spam other users or the platform with unsolicited messages or content.
- Manipulate or coordinate votes to dishonestly approve or reject submissions.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise tamper with the App or its backend.
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable law.
3. Photo evidence
Evidence photos are shown to counter members for a 24-hour voting window only and are not retained permanently afterwards. Do not submit illegal content or nudity.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of content you create. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display it to other members solely to operate the App. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account. You are responsible for what you post.
5. Reporting & moderation
You can report content or users in the App. We may remove content, warn, suspend, or terminate accounts that break these rules; in serious cases (illegal content, safety risks) without prior notice. You can delete your own account anytime via Settings → Delete account.
6. Cost
Counter is currently free to use.
7. Health & safety
Advisory warnings may appear for extreme counter settings, but we do not prevent participation. Participate within your own health limits. Counter is not a medical or fitness service.
8. App licence
Your licence to use the App itself is governed by the app store's standard licence terms (Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, or Google Play's terms).
9. Changes
We may update these rules and will notify you in the App of material changes. Continued use after the effective date means you accept them.
10. Contact & governing law
German law applies; mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence are unaffected.
